SCIENCE FICTION AND REALITY

Have you ever watched Sci-fi movies and you might have been wondering about how possible they are, from science fiction dystopian series to even action science fiction movies, this movies are born out of projections from scientists about the future, The trend is changing to science fiction slowly, we now have a lot of Sci-Fi movies which probably gives us a view into how the future might look and what we can do to prevent catastrophes, after all in the 20th century, we made movies depicting how the future would look like and today, we can’t even believe our eyes, it looked so not real, we can’t believe how far we have advanced in the area of research and technology, Movies about the future were perfectly depicted in the 20th century, except the sci-fi zombie genre and some are still happening, in fact some have gave birth to the ideas, you see today, A very good example, was the IPad, which was an invention borne out of the space odyssey movie in 1961,and many more technology like A.I, but now that we are in the 21st century, what tech do you feel would come soon and which Sci-Fi dystopian movie would come true too.

                  The 21st century has been a century of peace all along and we started with no major wars and efforts are being undergone to unite the world and bring it to perfection, we now have countries with major niches and with specialized skillset and technology and these technologies are able to be passed around effectively, whether we like it or not, we know there is a high probability of primitive technologies to get advanced, computers with incredible speeds have been predicted since the 20th century and they are becoming part of humanity, we are entering the age of quantum computers gradually, right now, we have predicted hologram technologies and transparent computers, the question is how far have we gone?, The truth is that, The technology has been discovered, this technologies are in their primitive state and they are being worked on, we hope to have them in their full state in the next 5 years, we have also predicted force shields, it might look unrealistic, but the real truth is that, they are kind of realistic and there is probability of them existing very soon, due to the recent research on magnetic fields and their intensities, Technologies such as cybernetics are being worked on and they are being expected to take over before 2050.

               We are discussing the possibilities of Science fiction in real life and that makes us to ask the question, what technologies might not actually be possible, Technologies such as weather control and black hole power or even technologies like dyson spheres and matrioshka brain are still in our fantasy, though we need to harness the energy of our stars to supply the energy needed for our civilization to thrive, but it might just not be possible, due to theories such as fermi paradox, which says that the universe has a way of balancing things out, But we can expect sci-fi realities such as the cooling of the Earth’s core in years to come, even to asteroids impact and redirection, we don’t need to blow up asteroids like in the movie, Armageddon, we can just try to redirect the asteroids away from earth as we know the impact of pieces of asteroids, we are also going to face events such as collision of solar systems, even the galaxies as a whole, space exploration wouldn’t be the same after the explosion of a star called Betelgeuse, this has been predicted in movies, A lot of science fiction events will happen and we would possibly have the right technologies to protect us.

                The future might look promising though and we can see the manifestations in the movies we watch nowadays, we marvel at the extent of these technologies and we hope that, we can make use of them very soon, let’s just hope that those Sci-Fi realities won’t happen, if they do, they could give us the typical Sci-Fi dystopian movies such as maze runner, divergent and more, but with the world becoming more and more united in peace there is hope that we won’t end this century with war, just like in the movie, mortal engines, A lot could change in 100 years to come and a positive one to be precise.
